I took this family to all my favorite places in downtown Portsmouth. I LOVE that they brought their dog!

I think this one may be my favorite of everyone together. Isabelle (the oldest) looks FANTASTIC in this picture.

This image was inspired by my photo shoot with my own kids last week. This would make a nice Christmas card. Ivan looks so proper! He was getting the hang of this picture thing by the end.

I love these next two photographs together!

The portraits of the two younger girls- Grace and Iris-work really well as a series. Here is Iris-

Now here are Grace's portraits

And Isabelle-I only had to take a few of her because I knew I had the shot right away.

And we can't forget Ivan! He did such a good job! ( For all you dog lovers out there, I do pet portraits too!)

The girls and the dog did a great job-thanks guys! I'll see you soon when I photograph your cousins!

It was freezing this afternoon! Ella, Sophie, Jill (their Mom), and I arrived at the beach at around 3:45 and we were done with the session by 4:15. The girls were so fantastic (as well as motivated to get back in the warm van). We decided to do some running pictures to get them warmed up.

They are both so cute. It's not often you see kids laying on the beach with hats, mittens and mufflers on.
63-111808-93

The wind was actually working in our favor-I love this portrait of Sophie.
5-111808-6

And little Ella-I can't believe she's only four. She seems mature for her age.
She is so beautiful.
8-111808-10

I like photographing people with the beach grass behind them-it creates a nice texture while also blending into the background.
22-111808-28

These girls look like they belong in a fashion advertisement. I can totally picture them in a magazine!

Thank you Ella & Sophie! You were a lot of fun to work with-and EASY to work with as well. I hope you had as much fun as I did!

I am SOOOO excited about these pictures! I was wondering what we were going to do this year that was different from previous years-well, take a look!

This is my vote for the Christmas card! In the comment section, let us know which one you think they should send for a card.

This one is so sweet. A contender for the Christmas card but similar to last years.
35-111808-39

I really LOVE photographing people here! It's my favorite spot!

43-111808-51

Jane is so pretty. I really like this picture of her. It is seldom I see her so contemplative.
46-111808-56

I LOVE THIS PICTURE OF JOSIE!!!!!!

Santa's elves.

Another of my favorite spots here in Portsmouth. I do senior portraits here, kids portraits, engagement portraits-it's just a cool place.

Watching these two interact is a riot!

Sunday I photographed a friend of mine and her family. It was FREEZING but it worked out well because I really like pictures of kids with their hoods on.

Here are her two boys, Isaac and Leo, doing what they do downtown. I guess this is where they like to sit while in Market Square! One of my favorite images from the day.
10-111608-10

This is one of my favorites because it is one of the few that Leo is actually smiling in. He thought we were done after these few shots.
23-111608-23

This is my favorite picture from this photo shoot. I LOVE the bright blue hood! Hoods are great for pictures because they frame the face so nicely.
40-111608-44

I love this picture of Christine and Isaac.
57-111608-72

And by the end of the session, I was able to get another one of Leo smiling by asking him to show me his maddest face. He was only able to hold it for so long before he started laughing.
75-111608-94

And, finally, here is the whole family. They don't even look cold!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Jacob and Charlie here in Portsmouth.

63-111708-88
Jacob is the older boy-very smart and mature for a kid his age.
Charlie is a clown!
We walked around the downtown area (you will recognize some of my favorite spots) to a number of locations before we had to call it quits because it was getting dark.

This was one of the first pictures I took of Jacob and it's one of my favorites. He seems like a pretty easy going kid and I think it shows in this photo.
5-111708-5

This photo, I think, shows Charlies personality. He was giving me all kinds of different expressions! I could see him in a theater production some day. This is one of my favorite images from the entire session.
31-111708-38

9-111708-10

This is also one of my favorites images from the photo session.
40-111708-50

Then, so they wouldn't get bored, we did a fun photo. I like to take this photo too, so it's fun for all of us!
44-111708-57

Moving on through Portsmouth. This was taken in front of Breaking New Grounds in the center of town. I really like how everything is out of focus except the boys.

Thank you Jacob and Charlie. I had a lot of fun spending time with you yesterday. I hope you like your picutres!
