Ashley and Nick are getting married next October at the not-yet-open Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill MA. Since they are getting married in the fall it was important to Ashley to have her engagement portraits with a fall feel.
This is one of my favorite images and one of the last of the session.
Usually, the last few photo's of a session are some of the best because the couple is more relaxed in front of the camera at that point, however, this next image is the very first picture I took of Ashley and Nick and also one of my favorites.
Then we went downtown for a change of scenery. I love Ashley's expression in this portrait-it's real happiness, not a "camera smile".
I like this entire series of them actually. Again, this was toward the end of the session, after we got to know each other a bit and Ashley and Nick were more accustomed to having their picture taken. Having the engagement portrait session is makes a big difference on the wedding day. Everyone is relaxed with each other and the couple is more relaxed in front of the camera.
Everyone knows this is my favorite spot. Here is a different take on this spot and I LOVE IT!
Molly stopped traffic in that dress!
This is her pick for the year book
You know this is one of my favorites, it has that edgy, urban, magazine quality I just love!
This image Molly just HAD to have-she's wearing her boyfriends sweatshirt. By the time we were done with all the other 400 shots (yes I said 400) it was already dark out. I took this by the light of a window in the middle school using an ISO of 3200.
I love this portrait of them. It was the last picture I took of them
before we entered the reception and we were all just having fun with
the portraits at that point of the day-with all the formal pictures
Here is Amelia getting ushered into the limo under the umbrella. It started pouring just as Caitlin was leaving for the ceremony.
This is the two year old flower girl, Alex, all ready to go! So cute!
It stopped raining as the limo pulled up the church and that was the last we saw of the rain!
I love this shot of the flower girl going into the church with all the fall foliage.
It was a VERY long aisle!
What a gorgeous church! To give you an idea of just how long this aisle is, this picture was taken half way up the aisle.
This is where we had the most fun photographing Caitlin and Brad. I'm so happy with how this series of images came out. She's so pretty!
This is what professional lighting can do for a room. Caitlin hired Boston Lighting just a few weeks before the ceremony. The effect was so powerful that it brought Caitlin to tears when she saw it. It was simply beautiful! I would recommend this to anyone planning a wedding.
The first dance. I like this image for the lighting as well as the intimacy of it.
But I can't decide if I like these images in color or black and white.
Everyone was having a fantastic time (as you can see). The DJ was great-The DJ Experience.com
I've worked with him before and he ALWAYS get's everyone dancing!
The wedding went by SO fast- that's what happens when your having fun!
If you'd like to see more of Caitlin and Brad's wedding check alyssaduncan.com/caitlin&brad. It will be ready to view by November 10th.
Have a great honeymoon guys-I'll be looking at pictures of you the whole time! 🙂
What a couple! I had SO much fun photographing them!
The flower girl, almost 3 years old, was just the cutest thing! She just loved being in that dress.
This is the brides father helping the groom with his tie. What a moment.
Laura was a beautiful bride-Jayson kept saying "yeah, she's hot!" He's got that right.
Miraculously the weather held out and the ceremony took place outside. From the bridal suite window, Laura could see Jayson walking down the aisle awaiting her.
The staircase at the Stevens Estate is just amazing-combined with the long veil made for a beautiful image.
Her dad's not crying (yet).
But the bride is.
Laura was perfect for this "urban chic" series-WOW!!
The image below is MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!! How cool is that!?!
We moved inside the estate for the rest of the formal pictures. It has be beautifully redone!
To view more of Laura and Jayson's images go to alyssaduncan.com/laura&jayson at the end of the week. I'm hoping to have their online album up by October 23rd.
I can tell Sara and Greg are going to be so much fun on their wedding day. We had a blast during this photo session!
This is my favorite shot!
I also REALLY like this image. It looks like a magazine ad-I LOVE that look!
They were great to work with and SO much fun. I'm really looking forward to their wedding in August at the Wentworth Country Club!
