The Durkee’s have had their portraits done before with other photographers over the years. They decided that THIS time they wanted something different. Something unique. I am honored they chose to come to me. What a great family!

Their oldest daughter is just beautiful and OH so easy to photograph!

We walked all over Portsmouth, to my favorite spots, however, I was able to give them a unique look by looking at things differently myself. This is Josh. He made my week with one sentence – “I wish my parents were as cool as you.” I made sure to tell my own kids when I got home just how cool a mom they have 🙂

Ella was just so sweet and fun! She ALWAYS had a smile on her face and made photographing this family all the more fun.

This is, obviously, on the new bridge (Memorial Bridge) but with a very different perspective than I usually shoot here. I love the painterly look the image has.

Ok, I know you all recognize this location. We came here last, just to be absolutely SURE we got a fantastic family portrait. What I love about this image is the interaction between father and son.

I really do feel it’s important to get a portrait of JUST the parents, alone. This is something that will be cherished for years to come by the children and, eventually, grandchildren.
Durkee family-I am so glad to have gotten to know you all! I really do have the best job in the world.
